  • Provides an ability to control playback, switch songs, playlists, change volume and other options.
  • Displays information through a scrolling widget and naughty notifications.
  • Supports multiple servers and able to switch them on the fly.
  • Supports UTF encodings.

really impressive – i’m just testing it, but i’ve been waiting for that for a long time :p
thanks a lot for your work !

    – question : is the background color of the widget customlizable ? i tried musicwidget.bg, musicwidget.background, wihtout success

    – annoying problem : when mpd is playing/paused, my widget bar is no more visible in my iceweasel window : it all disappears – but it’s visible again as soon as i stop mpd
    any suggestion would be great

      Hi there,

I’m glad the problem is sorted out now. But speaking of changing the widget background color I’m not sure it is possible in Awesome. You can change the background of the whole wibox (means the statusbar at the top), but not the background of a textbox widget (which is what Awesompd visually is). Maybe if you describe what you want to do in more detail I’ll try to help you with this.

I like awesompd very much but since the update to awesome 3.5 it doesn’t work anymore. Are there chances that you change the code so it will work again with the new version of awesome?
